The Greatest Inheritance for Your Children

Parents naturally want the best for their children—good education, a successful career, wealth, and a righteous spouse. But above all of these is something far greater: Tawḥīd and steadfastness upon the dīn. Do not spend all your efforts preparing your children for this world while neglecting their preparation for the Ākhirah. Teach them Lā ilāha illallāh, nurture their īmān, teach them the dīn, and make sincere duʿāʾ that Allah keeps them firm upon the truth. The greatest legacy a parent can leave behind is not wealth—it is a child who knows Allah and worships Him upon Tawḥīd.
